Educational Visit to Keshav Srushti, Bhayandar
As part of its commitment to providing *experiential and activity-based learning*, Vivek Vidyalaya organized an educational visit to **Keshav Srushti, Bhayandar*on 7th October, 2026. The visit provided students with an opportunity to step beyond the classroom and learn through direct observation, interaction and participation.
The students were introduced to the importance of *nature conservation, sustainable living, traditional knowledge and responsible citizenship*. The visit was designed to help students understand the close relationship between human beings and the natural environment.
Activities Undertaken by the Students
*🌱 Nature Walk and Biodiversity Exploration*
Students explored the lush surroundings of Keshav Srushti and observed different varieties of plants, trees, flowers and other elements of the local ecosystem. The nature walk helped them appreciate biodiversity and understand the importance of preserving green spaces.
*🌾 Exposure to Sustainable Farming*
Students were introduced to concepts related to *organic and sustainable farming*. They observed agricultural practices and learnt how natural resources such as soil and water can be utilised responsibly. The experience helped them understand the journey of food from the farm to the dining table.
*🐄 Interaction with Rural and Traditional Practices*
The students gained an insight into traditional methods of living and farming and understood how indigenous knowledge can contribute to sustainable development. They were encouraged to recognise the value of traditional practices in today's rapidly changing world.
*🌿 Medicinal and Useful Plants*
Students were acquainted with various plants and their traditional uses. They learnt how several plants have medicinal, nutritional and ecological significance, making the activity an interesting connection between *Science, Environmental Studies and Indian traditional knowledge*.
*♻️ Awareness of Environmental Conservation*
The visit emphasised the need to reduce waste, conserve water, protect biodiversity and adopt environmentally responsible habits. Students reflected on how small individual actions can contribute to a healthier planet.
*🧑🌾 Learning through Demonstrations and Interaction*
Instead of merely listening to explanations, students had the opportunity to observe demonstrations and interact with resource persons. This made the learning process more meaningful and helped them connect textbook concepts with real-life applications.
