At Vivek Vidyalaya Primary section, we wholeheartedly embrace the spirit of International Yoga Day. Each year, we come together to celebrate this occasion with enthusiasm and dedication to foster a healthier community. To learn about the origins and significance of yoga, its diverse practices, and its integration into daily life, to engage in yoga demonstrations led by experienced instructors, to discover various asanas (poses) suitable for all ages and levels, to explore the cultural roots of yoga, recognizing its origins in ancient Indian traditions and its global impact today & to understand how yoga enhances physical flexibility, strength, mental clarity, and emotional balance through breathing exercises and meditation techniques.

1st Day of the School

The first day of school in the primary section is a delightful and heartwarming occasion. As the young students entered the school, they were welcomed with a shower of colorful flowers, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. A cheerful welcome song played in the background, adding to the excitement and joy of the moment.
The Headmistress gave a warm and encouraging speech, expressing enthusiasm for the new school year and assuring the students and their parents of a supportive and enriching learning environment. Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi

 103rd Punyatithi of Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Bal Gangadhar Tilak, also popularly know as Lokmanya Tilak, is a prominent figure in the history of India. Tilak's death anniversary is observed on August 1st every year. He was popularly called as ' Lokmanya' which means 'beloved leader ' by his followers. This day reminds us about the great contribution and sacrifices of a freedom fighter like Lokmanya in bringing independence to our motherland India.

We celebrate June 21 as International Yoga Day. 
The main motto of celebrating this day is to raise awareness about Yoga.  The theme for this year's Yoga day was "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" which signifies "Yoga for the welfare of all, as one World-one Family ". The students performed various asanas to bring out the importance of yoga in serving better mental health practices in our lives.   It is a movement dedicated to the youth to inspire them to come together for sustainability and global harmony.

Inter School Competition

Inter-School Choral Recitation and Origami Collage Competition was conducted by Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika's P/South ward schools for Std.1st on 10th of December, 2022 in Vivek Vidyalaya premises. 18 Schools participated in Origami competition and 16 Schools participated  in Choral Recitation competition. Vivek Vidyalaya won the 1st Prize in Choral recitation Competition.

Central Government conducted National Survey Exam ( NAS) on 12th November, 2021. NAS was held to assess students of grade 3, 5 & 10. 30 students of Grade 3 of our school were selected for the exam. Assessment test in Language, Mathematics and EVS were conducted.

GREEN ARMY WORKSHOP

A school outreach program  to educate the school kids on aspects of sustainable living- an initiative of Mahindra life spaces, conducted by Parisar Asha. Children's Day is celebrated across India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. It is celebrated on 14 November every year as a tribute to India's First Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Fondly known as Chacha Nehru among children, he advocated children to have fulfilled education.
