A Memorable Picnic Day for Vivek Vidyalaya’s Little Stars

Today was a day filled with joy, laughter, and endless excitement as the little stars of Vivek Vidyalaya set off on their much-anticipated picnic to the resort. From the moment they boarded the bus, their bright smiles and cheerful chatter lit up the atmosphere.

The journey itself was an adventure, with singing, clapping, and playful giggles setting the tone for a delightful day ahead. Upon reaching the resort, the children were greeted with lush greenery and refreshing surroundings—a perfect place for fun and exploration.

The little ones splashed around with pure joy in the water, played games with boundless energy, and created cherished moments with their friends and teachers. Lunchtime was another highlight, as they enjoyed delicious food while sharing stories and laughter.

As the day came to an end, the happiness on their faces was a testament to the unforgettable memories they had made. With hearts full of joy and minds filled with wonderful experiences, they boarded the bus, eager to share their day’s adventures with their families.

LOKMANYA TILAK PUNYATITHI 2024

LOKMANYA TILAK PUNYATITHI was celebrated on the 1st of August, 2024. The event was organized to educate students about Tilak's life and his role in India's freedom struggle, while also fostering a sense of patriotism and historical awareness.

Guru Purnima

Guru Purnima commemorates the birth anniversary of Sage Vyasa. It's a day to reflect on the

impact our guru's have had on us and to express our gratitude for their guidance. Guru Purnima is an auspicious day to pray for our guru's and seek their blessings. Primary students of Vivek Vidyalaya celebrated this day with great reverence.

Yoga Day 2024-2025

At Vivek Vidyalaya Primary section, we wholeheartedly embrace the spirit of International Yoga Day. Each year, we come together to celebrate this occasion with enthusiasm and dedication to foster a healthier community. To learn about the origins and significance of yoga, its diverse practices, and its integration into daily life, to engage in yoga demonstrations led by experienced instructors, to discover various asanas (poses) suitable for all ages and levels, to explore the cultural roots of yoga, recognizing its origins in ancient Indian traditions and its global impact today & to understand how yoga enhances physical flexibility, strength, mental clarity, and emotional balance through breathing exercises and meditation techniques.

1st Day of the School

The first day of school in the primary section is a delightful and heartwarming occasion. As the young students entered the school, they were welcomed with a shower of colorful flowers, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. A cheerful welcome song played in the background, adding to the excitement and joy of the moment.

The Headmistress gave a warm and encouraging speech, expressing enthusiasm for the new school year and assuring the students and their parents of a supportive and enriching learning environment. The combination of these thoughtful gestures made the first day memorable, setting a positive tone for the rest of the academic year 2024-25

As Sawmi Vivekananda is our patron, every year we host competition for other school students. This year also we hosted various competitions and glimpse of the same as follows.

Janmashtmi Celebration

Krishna Janmashtami,also known as Janmashtami or Gokulashtami,is a hindu festival which celebrates the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. To inculcate the values of righteousness, self-service and victory of good over evil, students of Primary section celebrated Krishna Janmastami by dressing like Radha and Krishna, flute making, pot decoration etc.

To assure the bond of Protection, Rakshabandhan celebration was done by our primary students.

Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi

103rd Punyatithi of Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Bal Gangadhar Tilak, also popularly know as Lokmanya Tilak, is a prominent figure in the history of India. Tilak's death anniversary is observed on August 1st every year. He was popularly called as ' Lokmanya' which means 'beloved leader ' by his followers. This day reminds us about the great contribution and sacrifices of a freedom fighter like Lokmanya in bringing independence to our motherland India.

Investiture ceremony 2023 - 24

The Investiture Ceremony marks a significant beginning of the new academic session. This Ceremony is not just about providing titles, but about conferring responsibilities to the students, to take charge of the school and take it to the height they desire with their leadership and decision making skills, communication and teamwork.

Yoga Day

We celebrate June 21 as International Yoga Day.

The main motto of celebrating this day is to raise awareness about Yoga. The theme for this year's Yoga day was "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" which signifies "Yoga for the welfare of all, as one World-one Family ". The students performed various asanas to bring out the importance of yoga in serving better mental health practices in our lives. It is a movement dedicated to the youth to inspire them to come together for sustainability and global harmony.

To inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship amongst the students of Primary section, Sports day for Std. 1.to 4 was conducted on 19.01.2023

Inter School Competition

Inter-School Choral Recitation and Origami Collage Competition was conducted by Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika's P/South ward schools for Std.1st on 10th of December, 2022 in Vivek Vidyalaya premises. 18 Schools participated in Origami competition and 16 Schools participated in Choral Recitation competition. Vivek Vidyalaya won the 1st Prize in Choral recitation Competition.

Annual Academic Prize Distribution

The starting point of all achievement is desire. If one has the desire to succeed, one surely will. With this in mind and to boost the morale of the students, Vivek Vidyalaya, Primary Section held its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony on Saturday, in the school premises. It was the time to applaud and reward the students for their sincere efforts during the previous academic session.

Guru Purnima is a tradition dedicated to all the spiritual and academic Gurus, who are evolved or enlightened humans, ready to share their wisdom, based on Karma Yoga. Primary section students celebrated Guru Purnima to show their Gratitude towards their Guru's on 13th July, 2022

With a view to make fitness an integral part of our daily life, our P.M introduced Fit India Movement on 29th August, 2019. It's a nation wide movement to encourage people to remain healthy & fit. In Vivek Vidyalaya, we too conducted activities to keep the students fit.

Mayor Drawing Competition

Mayor's Drawing Competition was conducted online. Students of Primary section participated and 2 students i) Nadar Aashi Ganesh & ii) Sutar Ananya Kailash of Grade II have won prizes at ward level.

Bal Rakshak ( Police Didi Program)

Primary section invited Mr. Jadhav (Police Inspector, Goregaon Police station) to guide our PTA representatives who further guided our parents on The best ways to keep our children safe, How & Why child's safety is important and the ways to follow it.

National Achievement Survey

Central Government conducted National Survey Exam ( NAS) on 12th November, 2021. NAS was held to assess students of grade 3, 5 & 10. 30 students of Grade 3 of our school were selected for the exam. Assessment test in Language, Mathematics and EVS were conducted.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA’S 157TH Birth Anniversary celebration

Swami Vivekananda’s 157th Birth anniversary was celebrated on 18/01/2020 at Vivek Vidyalaya. Many schools have participated in various competitions.

GREEN ARMY WORKSHOP

A school outreach program to educate the school kids on aspects of sustainable living- an initiative of Mahindra life spaces, conducted by Parisar Asha. The overall goal of the program is to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills on sustainable living. This program aims to specially develop a sense of consciousness in the children, help to create the next generation of “caring citizen”, leaders to move our world towards a more sustainable planet.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

Children's Day is celebrated across India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. It is celebrated on 14 November every year as a tribute to India's First Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Fondly known as Chacha Nehru among children, he advocated children to have fulfilled education.

Our Primary section celebrated it by showing students 3 D movie. Also there were speeches and songs by students and teachers.

GLOBAL HAND WASHING DAY IS AN AWARENESS CAMPAIGN OBSERVED ON 15TH OCTOBER TO MOTIVATE AND MOBILIZE MILLIONS AROUND THE GLOBE TO KEEP THEIR HANDS CLEAN BY WASHING.
