Adopt A Child

The 'Adopt A Child' scheme, introduced recently by the Vivek Education Society, has proved to be a boon to students coming from poor families. Under this scheme, a sponsor by donating Rs. 50,000 adopts a child, for 10 years and the amount will be then transferred to student welfare fund. The interest on this amount is used to defray the school expenses of the child - expenses such as the entire cost of tuition, term and other fees, cost of uniform and books etc. The students continues to get the benefit till the 10th standard, depending upon his satisfactory progress. During the current year, 56 sponsors as under have adopted 85 children.
